Between two shores
Volodymyr Glukhomanyuk
Series “The Golden Age” Part #1
90 x 80 cm
Oil on canvas
The Golden Age is a new, exciting series of paintings that transcend time and demonstrate the majesty of human evolution in an era marked by transformational changes in industry, technology, art, architecture…
The plot is based on a noisy city canal with a cargo ship moored to the pier. The urban landscape along the embankment radiates the architectural charm of the beginning of the 20th century – attics, high gables-firewalls, chimneys. Cafes, shops and shopping tents fill the first floors, creating a vivid picture of city life.
The scene of the painting is brightly lit. Amazing reflections from the powerful steel hull of the ship, despite the weight of the metal, it seems light. In the background, the blue sky envelops the water area of the port with stunning clouds against a blue background.
The greatest emotion caused by the contemplation of the picture is joy, an incredible feeling of Happiness and fullness of Life!
