Milana Levadna
Milana Mykhailivna Levadna was born in 1998 in the city of Zaporizhzhia. After completing the 9th grade
of secondary school in 2013, she enrolled at Zaporizhzhia Pedagogical College, majoring in Fine Arts.
Upon graduating from college, she successfully passed the entrance exams to the Kharkiv State
Academy of Design and Arts, specializing in Monumental Painting. In 2021, she earned her Master’s
degree there.
She works primarily with acrylic painting techniques, focusing mainly on the animalistic genre, creating
psychologically rich portraits of animals. The artist’s goal is to convey to the viewer the beauty of
simplicity, the vulnerability of living beings, and the importance of living in harmony with nature. Milana
pays great attention to the anatomy of the animals she depicts, striving to convey their distinct
characteristics accurately. Her works’ atmosphere of solitude and tranquility invites the viewer to pause
and immerse themselves in their reflections.
Stylistically, Milana uses contrasts of patches, smooth and rough textures, and rich yet neutral colors to
create a calming effect that beautifully highlights the naturalistic elements of her works. Since 2019, she
has been actively participating in national and international exhibitions, competitions, and plein air
events. Her paintings are held in private collections in Ukraine, Poland, the United States, Canada,
Germany, France, the Czech Republic, Asia, and Denmark. Since 2022, she has been living and working in
Lviv.
